Each time you login to the site via the Business Login button at https://fy8love.co.uk/login/#business_login you will always land on this, your own business dashboard page.

The dashboard has been designed to allow you to easily navigate to the sections you need to go to via the central “big” visual links and also via the left hand navigation (which can be used at all times to navigate back to your main dashboard page / all other sections of your account etc).

The first thing we always ask a business user to do is set up their Business Listing page (which appears on the Directory section of the site). This ensures that we have all the relevant business information we need from you for the Add A New Card functionality to work (correct business name / correct business category and categorisation).

Once this has been done, the site will then allow you to begin posting up all your lovely promotional cards!

Whilst the dashboard may look busy and there seems a lot of sections, once you’ve set up your user profile (login and password) and then set up your main business listing, the main thing you’ll be using the dashboard for will be to ADD A NEW CARD or VIEW YOUR CARDS.

This will be the most frequently clicked on page you will be using as part of FY8LOVE.

The main aim of the site and the campaign is to give FY8 businesses the chance to post up their promo cards and to reach the whole FY8LOVE audience driving sales and customers to your door. A new product announcement, a product or service promotion, event, sale, or special offer – the ADD A CARD page is where all of this begins.

To add a promo card, you simply need to complete the ADD A CARD form on the page.

First add a title to headline your promo card e.g. New Product Launch

Then you need to select the card type from the drop-down list – e.g. Product Launch

Then add in the Card Content you wish to appear on the card below the headline e.g. It’s finally here – that wonderful new product we’ve been wanting to tell you all about. It’s new, unique, and waiting for you now!

Then you will need to add in an external link to which the site user can click to find out more. This URL needs to link out to either your own website (where more information about the promo card is located), your e-commerce site (where the user can find out more and purchase the promo card content), or even your social media feed or post (such a link to a specific Facebook or Instagram post etc). NB If you do not have an external link or forget to link the post, then the site will just display the link to your business bio page on the FY8LOVE site instead.

NB all card post and their respective content and associated imagery should always adhere to our business user terms & conditions as agreed to when registering your business on the site. These can be found here https://fy8love.co.uk/business-sign-up-terms-conditions

You will then need to click on the UPLOAD button and browse for an image to go with your promo card post. Information about the type of image required can be found below this button. Once you have selected your image, simply click UPLOAD and the site will upload the image. Once complete, you can PREVIEW YOUR CARD by clicking the button. Your card will then appear in a pop up to show you a preview of how the card will appear on the site once saved and posted. By rolling over the image, you will then be able to see the CARD CONTENT displayed. If you are not happy with the preview you can then go back and re edit your card by clicking off the preview and then return to the Add a Card form to re-edit your content. You can also change your image by simply re-clicking the UPLOAD button and selecting another image from your library. You can then repeat the steps of previewing the card to check everything before you save and post it.

Once you are happy with your card post, you simply click SAVE CARD and the post will go live on homepage of the site. NB All posts on the site currently appear in chronological order only (i.e. the latest post by each respective business by time and date is displayed first when ALL is shown in the filters or when specific business category filters are selected by the FY8LOVE user).

NB, we have designed the homepage of the site to display the promotional cards in a clean, yet visual and contemporary way. We have also deliberately made sure that all cards rely on a single individual image and a standard way of displaying the card title and supporting text via the rollover feature. Therefore, we would advise that only images are used here and nothing else that may compromise this – such as your image is actually a graphic containing it’s own text and title over an image or your uploaded image is actually just a text graphic etc.

This section contains a summary of all your live and posted cards on the site. They are listed by title and date posted. You can click EDIT to change the live card which will then bring up the ADD A CARD form. From here, you can then re-edit your card content the same as if you were posting a new card (change the title / content / link / image etc). Once completed, simply preview, and save if you are happy with the changes to post the card back up on to the site. If you need to delete your live card (say an offer has expired etc), simply click the DELETE button and the card will no longer appear on the site.

This section displays the form you completed on sign up and contains all your listed business directory details. If you need to re-edit this, you can simply fill out the form again and change the fields you need and then click SAVE. This will then update your business directory listing on the site.

On the main central dashboard there is also a button entitled VIEW YOUR BUSINESS. By clicking this you will taken out in a new window to your live business listing within the directory section of the site. This will allow you to double check your listing to see if the changes / updates you have made are correct. If not, simply use the YOUR BUSINESS link on the left-hand navigation of your dashboard to edit your listing details.

This section contains all your personal account profile information you provided on sign up.

Edit Your Profile

You can EDIT YOUR PROFILE here including updating your name and email address.

You can also change your password here from the one generated by the system on sign up. Simply follow the prompts on the screen and hit SAVE CHANGES.

You can also choose to DELETE your account with FY8LOVE by entering your password and hitting the DELETE ACCOUNT button. NB before you delete your account, remember that all your data will also be deleted. This action cannot be undone!
